FAQ

For your convenience, the most common client questions are answered right here by Corey.

What exactly is it you do in your healing sessions?
My healing training began at the Barbara Brennan school of Healing, where I learned hands on energy healing techniques as well as dealing with chronic patterns and how they relate to life’s issues. So my healing sessions incorporate all of that, supported by extremely powerful tones, chants, and melodies I channel through my voice. In addition, ancestral wisdom and messages will come through pertinent to the healing situation. It’s actually more of shamanic journey than a traditional sound healing.

What sort of instruments and tools do you use during your healing sessions?
I use a variety of instruments such as tuning forks, drums, rattles, Tibetan bowls, Shaman Staff, Piano – but again, my voice is my key instrument. The whole time my intuition and spirit guide me to which instruments to use, therefore no two sessions are exactly the same.

How long have you been doing sound healing? How did you get your start?
My first experience with sound healing was at the Barbara Brennan School which I attended in the late 90’s. In addition to learning about tones for the chakras, I also attended my first group toning circle. During the circle, people were sounding beautiful tones, as I joined in, my voice, and my heart opened up, and it was as if I was part of an angelic choir. This had a profound impact on my healing practice, as toning and sounding the chakras became a focus in my sessions.

How does the piano fit in to my healing sessions?
At the end of a session, I am sometimes guided to sit at the piano to play relaxing music as the healing session is integrated by the client.

What kind of clients are you hoping to reach?
The healing I do is not for the faint of heart. I’m looking for people who are ready to heal deep issues through a transcendental transformational experience.

How do I prepare / What can I expect in a healing session?
The day before your session, drink a lot of extra water, as it is helpful to have the body well hydrated before this type of healing work. On the day of your session, wear comfortable loose clothing, please refrain from excess makeup, perfumes/colognes, or essential oils. A healing session takes place fully clothed, lying on a massage table.
The first part of a healing session – especially if it is your first session – we will be discussing and addressing the main concerns you wish to work on. The session itself will consist of the laying on of hands, combined with vocal sounding/toning, along with the playing of different healing instruments when guided. At times, light massage and/or acupressure may be used where needed.
